Based on Elisabeth Herrmann's novel of the same name, the film tells the story of a crime whose causes reach far back into the past and whose investigation could cost the investigator her future.

The 'Bulle' is a real tough cop. When he helps a girl being harassed by rockers she steals his car and gun in return. Wanting his stuff back, 'Bulle' follows the girl to the frontier of Holland where she gets caught by German border policemen. The 'Bulle' knocks out the policemen in order to get his gun back having to take the girl, too, as she threatens to be a witness. Thus both are being chased making up a strange friendship.
